Terms of Service

1. Who we are

MindBids ("MindBids", "we", "us") operates a marketplace where members bid in a live auction for one-to-one time slots with notable people ("Talent"). These Terms govern your use of the marketplace, whether you take part as a buyer, as Talent, or both.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By continuing you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.

3. The auction

A bid is both an offer of price and a statement of intent. Placing a bid authorizes a hold on your payment method for the bid amount. If you win, that hold is captured; if you are outbid or the auction closes without you winning, the hold is released. The rules that decide who wins, and when a hold is captured or released, are those implemented in the auction and payments systems and may change with notice.

4. Payments and commission

Prices are shown in the stated currency and charged in full at the moment a booking is confirmed. MindBids deducts a commission from the Talent's share; the current rate is disclosed to Talent during onboarding. Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Refunds & Cancellations Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5. Conduct

Your use of the marketplace is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates it.

6. Recordings

A session is not recorded unless both participants consent. Recording, retention, and deletion of session recordings are described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The marketplace is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, MindBids is not liable for the conduct of any member or for the content of any session. (Counsel to complete the limitation-of-liability and indemnity clauses.)

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we publish a new dated version and ask you to accept it before you next bid, purchase, or join a session. Prior versions remain available at their dated URL.
