Privacy Policy

Placeholder copy — not legal advice. This document exists to exercise the consent-recording and data-rights systems. Every statement below is a placeholder and must be drafted or reviewed by counsel before launch.

Effective version: 2026-07-10

1. What this covers

This policy explains what personal data MindBids collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you can exercise over it.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data — name, email, and authentication identifiers.
  • Profile data — for Talent, a bio, category, social links, and verification

documents.

  • Transaction data — bids, bookings, payments, payouts, and ledger records.
  • Session data — meeting join and end times, and, only where both parties

consent, a recording of the session.

  • Device and usage data — subject to your cookie choices.

3. Payment processing

Card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on our servers. We retain a record of each transaction for accounting and dispute purposes.

4. Processors we use

We rely on third-party processors for authentication, payments, video calling, and email delivery. (Counsel and security to publish the current subprocessor list.)

5. Recordings

A session recording is created only when both participants have consented. A recording is jointly personal to both parties: either party may delete it at any time, and we automatically delete every recording after a fixed retention period. You can obtain a copy of a recording of your own session on request.

6. Retention

We keep different categories of data for different periods, described in our internal retention schedule. In summary: financial and audit records are kept for as long as the law requires; the evidentiary details attached to a consent record (your IP address and browser) are deleted after 24 months; recordings are deleted after the retention period set for them; and most other personal data is deleted or anonymized when you close your account.

7. Your rights

Subject to law, you may:

  • Access — request a machine-readable copy of your data. We deliver it as a

download link that expires after a short window.

  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data. We anonymize what we can and retain only

the financial, audit, and consent records the law requires us to keep. We cannot action an erasure while you have a confirmed upcoming session, an open dispute, or a balance owed.

  • Withdraw consent — including cookie consent, at any time, through

Cookie settings.

8. Children

The marketplace is not intended for anyone under 18.

9. Changes and contact

We publish a new dated version when this policy changes. Questions or requests: privacy@mindbids.example (placeholder address).
